What is a POI?

A POI describes additional information that is referenced to the model or it is a point in space. POI´s can be organized in Layers.

A POI can be a label, but can also contain data like

  • Photos
  • Doc / docx
  • PDF



How to add a POI?

Option 1

  • Hold down the right mouse button for two seconds where you want to place the POI.
  • Enter a label (this is shown within the 3D Viewer)
  • Select the desired layer from the list in which the POI is to be saved
  • Press the "Save" button

Option 2

  • Drag and Drop uploaded files like photos or documents from the navigation pane into the point cloud or model
  • Press the "Save" button

How to change the position of a POI?

Option 1

  • Select the POI you wish to relocate in the model by holding down the left mouse button for two seconds
  • The Edit POI menu appears
  • Hold down the left mouse button on the POI in order to move it to the desired location

Option 2

  • Select the POI you wish to relocate in the model by holding down the left mouse button for two seconds
  • The Edit POI menu appears
  • By clicking on the pencil next to Position, the X Y Z coordinates can be edited
  • You can change the coordinates of the POI manually by entering via the number pad

or

  • Hoover over one of the coordinates and turn the mouse wheel
    • Mouse wheel = 1 cm
    • Shift + Mouse wheel = 1 mm
    • CRTL + Mouse wheel = 10 cm

How to add further data to a POI?

  • Select the POI you want to add further data with the Long-Left-Mouse-Button
  • Press the Add images/docs... button
  • Select photo or document
  • Select the photos you want to add by hoovering over the data and click on the blue tick
  • Press the Confirm button
  • Press the Save button

How to remove a POI?

  • Select the POI you want to remove with the Right-Mouse-Button
  • Press the Delete button on your Keyboard
