POI

What is a POI?

A Point of Interest (POI) serves as supplemental information associated with the model or as a spatial reference point. POIs are typically organized into layers.

A POI may encompass more than just a label; it can include various types of data such as:

• Photos
• Doc / docx
• PDF

Add a POI

Option 1

• Hold down the right mouse button for two seconds where you want to place the POI.

• Enter a label (this is shown within the 3D Viewer)
• Select the desired layer from the list in which the POI is to be saved
• Press the "Save" button

Option 2

• Drag and Drop uploaded files like photos or documents from the navigation pane into the point cloud or model
• Press the "Save" button

Add more information:

By clicking on "Show full details," additional information for the Point of Interest (POI) can be provided, including:

• Name
• Description
• Photos & Documents

Edit/Change POI

• Set POI: long left click
• Edit: click once and right click
• Mark: click once
• Move: click once and drag (on word)
• With image: double click to view image
• Move with image: currently only when edit mode is open

For mobile devices:

• Set POI: click once

Change the position of a POI

Option 1

• Select the POI you wish to relocate in the model by holding down the left mouse button for two seconds (it works best if you click on the text/photo of the POI instead of the point)
• The Edit POI menu appears
• Hold down the left mouse button on the POI in order to move it to the desired location (it works best if you click on the text/photo of the POI instead of the point)

Option 2

• Select the POI you wish to relocate in the model by holding down the left mouse button for two seconds
• The Edit POI menu appears
• By clicking on the pencil next to Position, the X Y Z coordinates can be edited
• You can change the coordinates of the POI manually by entering via the number pad

or

• Hoover over one of the coordinates and turn the mouse wheel
  • Mouse wheel = 1 cm
  • Shift + Mouse wheel = 1 mm
  • CRTL + Mouse wheel = 10 cm

Add further data to a POI

• Choose the POI to which you want to add additional data by pressing and holding the left mouse button for two seconds
• Click the "Add images/docs..." button
• Select photo or document
• Click on the photo to open the preview
• Choose the photos you wish to add by hovering over the data and clicking on the blue checkmark
• Click the "Confirm" button
• Click the "Save" button

Remove a POI

• To remove a Point of Interest (POI), click on the POI and hold down the left mouse button for two seconds (it works best if you click on the text/photo of the POI instead of the point)
• Click on the trash bin icon to delete the POI

or

• Press the "Delete" key on your keyboard
• A pop-up window will appear
• Click "Yes"
