What is the Selection Tool?
The Selection Tool allows for the selection of points in a point cloud. It provides the option to use or hide selected points.
Selection Tool usage
- Click on the wrench icon to access the "Selection" tool.
- Choose the tool you want to use to select your desired area of the point cloud:
- None (Rotation)
- Box
- Polygon
- Lasso
- Select the "Action on Selected Points":
- Use Selected Points
- Hide Selected Points
- Reset Point Selection
- Selected points can be discarded again, or by clicking "Keep Selection when Closing the Tool", the view with the selected points remains.



Reset selected points
If you want to display the entire point cloud again, follow these steps:
- Open the Selection Tool again, indicated by a green dot signaling that it is currently in use.
- Remove the check mark next to "Keep Selection when Closing the Tool".
- Click "Discard & Close".
