What is a POI?
A Point of Interest (POI) serves as supplemental information associated with the model or as a spatial reference point. POIs are typically organized into layers.
A POI may encompass more than just a label; it can include various types of data such as:
- Photos
- Doc / docx
How to add a POI?
Option 1
- Hold down the right mouse button for two seconds where you want to place the POI.
- Enter a label (this is shown within the 3D Viewer)
- Select the desired layer from the list in which the POI is to be saved
- Press the "Save" button

Option 2
- Drag and Drop uploaded files like photos or documents from the navigation pane into the point cloud or model
- Press the "Save" button
How to change the position of a POI?
Option 1
- Select the POI you wish to relocate in the model by holding down the left mouse button for two seconds
- The Edit POI menu appears
- Hold down the left mouse button on the POI in order to move it to the desired location
Option 2
- Select the POI you wish to relocate in the model by holding down the left mouse button for two seconds
- The Edit POI menu appears
- By clicking on the pencil next to Position, the X Y Z coordinates can be edited
- You can change the coordinates of the POI manually by entering via the number pad
or
- Hoover over one of the coordinates and turn the mouse wheel
- Mouse wheel = 1 cm
- Shift + Mouse wheel = 1 mm
- CRTL + Mouse wheel = 10 cm
How to add further data to a POI?
- Choose the POI to which you want to add additional data by pressing and holding the left mouse button for two seconds
- Click the "Add images/docs..." button
- Select photo or document
- Choose the photos you wish to add by hovering over the data and clicking on the blue checkmark
- Click the "Confirm" button
- Click the "Save" button
How to remove a POI?
- To remove a Point of Interest (POI), simply right-click on the desired POI
- Press the "Delete" key on your keyboard
