General

The Options menu is located at the top-right corner. Within the Options menu, you have the ability to adjust both the language and the design.

Design

To toggle between different visual themes, simply click on the moon icon adjacent to the "Dark Mode" option.

  • Light Mode; A bright and clear interface ideal for well-lit environments.
  • Dark Mode; A sleek and subdued interface with darker tones, ideal for low-light environments or reducing eye strain.

Language

The following languages are currently supported:

  • English
  • German

Crosshairs

Enable or disable the crosshair


Object Visualization

Within the Object Visualization, you can globally enable or disable the visualization of a specific file type without having to interact with the files in the navigation pane.

  • Point Cloud
  • Plans
  • Models
  • Snapshots
  • POIs
  • Trajectory

Point Cloud Colorization

Occasionally, you may want to color point clouds to enhance visualization. In such instances, you can utilize the point color feature to adjust how point clouds are colored.

Only a global color mode is supported at the moment.

We currently support the following coloring options:

  • Original
  • Normals
  • Gray
  • Single
  • Unique
  • Frame Time
  • Point Deviation
  • Highlight Selected

Original

Shows the original color of the point cloud.

Typically, this colorization mode shows the RGB data of a point cloud.

Normals

Shows the point normals of point clouds.

The normals of a point cloud are vectors that describe the orientation of a point in a 3D point cloud with respect to its surrounding points. In other words, they provide information about the local geometry of the surface represented by the point cloud.

Gray

Shows all point clouds colored in gray.

Single

Shows all point clouds colored in red.

It's useful when comparing point cloud data with 2D plans or IFC models.

Unique

Visualizes each visible scan with a unique color.

It's useful for comparing point clouds from the same scene but captured at a different date.

Frame Time

For InU-Scan datasets, the point cloud can be colored according to the recorded time frame.

The points differ in color from the beginning of the scan to the end of the scan. The blue points indicate that they were scanned first, red colored points indicate they were scanned last.

Point Deviation

Highlight Selected

If a model consists of several point clouds, a selected scan can be visualized in red by activating the option Highlight Selected.

How to highlight a scan?

  • Choose the scan you want to highlight in the navigation pane
  • Select "Highlight Selected" in the point color menu
