General
In the Navigation Pane you can organize and manage data. To avoid confusion, it is recommended to build a proper structure.
Within the Navigation Pane you can organize and create:
- Initial Scene
- Folders
- Topology
- Scene
- Layer
- Measurement Layer
- Annotation Layer

How to open the Context Menu?
The Context Menu appears by right-clicking on any data in the Navigation Pane.

The content can be moved and organized as required using Drag and Drop.

Initial Scene
What is the Initial Scene?
The Initial Scene is the first view on your data when opening the project.
The following data can be displayed in the Initial Scene:
- Point Clouds
- 2D Plans / 3D Models
- Measurement Layer
- Annotation Layer
How to set up an Initial Scene?
To set an Initial Scene, follow these steps:
- Activate or deactivate the data you want to display
- Click on the "ellipsis (...)" button in Navigation Pane
- Select the "Update Initial Scene" option
How to change the Initial Scene?
To change and update an Initial Scene, follow these steps:
- Activate or deactivate the data you want to display
- Change the camera position to the desired place
- Click on the "ellipsis (...)" button in Navigation Pane
- Select the "Update Initial Scene" option

How to return to the Initial Scene view?
To return to the initial scene view or camera position, follow these steps:
- Click on the "ellipsis (...)" button in Navigation Pane
- Select the "Load Initial Scene" option

Scene
What is a Scene?
A Scene can be thought of as a point of interest in place and in time.
A Scene is a group of data that describes a specific state of the viewer. A state includes everything that has an influence on what the user sees at the moment. Examples are camera position, camera orientation, point cloud colorization, or which data is currently visible.
The Scene is also ideal for visualizing construction progress. You can create a scene for scans of day X and another one for scans of day Y.
How to set a Scene?
- Activate all your data you want to display
- Right-click in the Navigation Pane where you want to create the new scene

How to change / update a Scene?
- Enable the scene to be changed via the eye icon
- Activate or deactivate data you want to display
- Change the camera position to the desired place
- Right-click on the scene you wish to modify
- Click on the "Update Scene" button from the context menu

How to delete a Scene?
- Right-click on the Scene you wish to delete
- The Context Menu appears
- Click the "Remove" button

Scenes can be shared, learn more about the Share Function by clicking here.
Topology
What is a Topology?
Topologies can be used to define specific regions in space based on spatial constraints. For example, a Clipping Box is a simple spatial constraint that uses the six faces of a cuboid to define the three-dimensional region of a topology. Each topology can be split up again into finer subdivisions, giving one the flexibility to use as many hierarchical levels as required to model a specific case.
All topologies of a scan project are stored within the same Navigation Pane.
How to add a Topology?
- Activate the Clipping Box
- Move and resize the Clipping Box to the desired area (e.g., one floor)
- Right-click in the Navigation Pane where you want to create the new topology
- Select the "New Topology" option from the context menu

How to activate a Topology?
- Hover the mouse cursor over the desired topology
- Click on the "Display" icon that appears next to the name
How to change / update a Topology?
- Activate the desired topology
- Move and resize the Clipping Box to the desired area
- To change the topology, right-click on it to open the context menu
- Choose the "Update Spatial Constraint" option ("Update Topology"?)

How to delete a Topology?
- Right-click on the topology to be deleted
- The context menu appears
- Select "Remove"
Show / Hide data in the Viewer
In the Navigation Pane, you can choose to show or hide certain data.
How to show or hide data?
- Hover the moues over the desired data
- An eye appears next to the name
- Click on the eye icon to show or hide individual data
- All currently visualized data are highlighted in bold

How to show or hide all data at the same time?
- To show or hide all data, right-click on the root node to open the context menu
- Within the context menu, you can select "Make All Visible" or "Make All Invisible" by clicking the Left-Mouse-Button
