The Registration tool automatically aligns two or more point clouds, providing a rough alignment between them. For a precise alignment, it is recommended to use the Alignment tool following the processing with the Registration tool.
Registration tool application

- Select one or multiple point clouds you wish to align (choose a primary point cloud, either dedicated or georeferenced, to serve as the anchor for aligning all other point clouds)
- Click “Next” to proceed with Step 2

Step 2: Source Selection
- Choose the point cloud you wish to align
- Click “Next” to proceed with Step 3

Step 3: Data Filtering
- Select the desired tool for point selection from the available options

- Box Selection; left-click + hold and drag mouse across the screen in desired area
- Polygon Selection; left-click to select multiple points on point cloud for the desired area – close or finish Polygon by clicking on the first point again
- Lasso Selection; left-click + hold and drag mouse to enclose the desired area
- Click on the Reset icon in Selected Points Action to revert and undo previous selections
- Click on “Next” to proceed with Step 4

Step 4: Processing
This step may take a few minutes. Once it is finished, a green check mark will appear indicating successful processing.

Step 5: Analysis
This section functions as a tool for comparing alignment steps and for undoing and redoing actions.
- Choose between «Show selected areas only" or the entire content
- Toggle the wireframe view by clicking on the checkbox next to "Use wireframe view for models"
- To complete the alignment, click "Save" or alternatively, use the "X" on the top right corner of the Registration tool box to close the tool and delete the entire alignment
